Not Sure If We're the Right Fit? Come See for Yourself
We know choosing the right tutor is a big decision. That’s why we invite every new family to try one or two lessons before committing to a full term. No pressure. No contracts. Just a chance to see whether your child connects with our teachers and thrives in our environment.

Why Brooklyn Families Choose Dreams Tutoring
In a city full of tutoring options, what makes the difference? It comes down to three things: teachers who are genuinely licensed and experienced, classes small enough for every child to be seen, and a philosophy built on connection — not pressure.
Small Classes, Big Results
Your Child Will Never Get Lost in the Crowd
Most learning centers pack students into large groups where the fastest learners race ahead and the rest struggle to keep up. At Dreams Tutoring, every small group class has a maximum of 10 students — by design.
This isn’t just a class size policy. It’s a philosophy. Our teachers move at each child’s pace during classwork, check in with every student individually, and prepare extra challenge material for advanced learners so no one is ever bored or left behind.
And when a student needs more focused support, they can seamlessly add one-on-one tutoring — something most learning centers don’t offer at all.
Small groups + one-on-one support: the combination most centers can’t provide
Licensed Teachers With Real Classroom Experience
Our Teachers Don't Just Know the Content — They Know How to Teach It
There’s a big difference between knowing a subject and knowing how to teach it. At Dreams Tutoring, every teacher is licensed and experienced — not a college student picking up extra hours.
Our lead educator, Ms. Sammie Kuang, has spent 23 years teaching at FDR High School in Brooklyn, instructing Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry to thousands of New York City students. She brings that same depth of classroom expertise — and genuine care — to every Dreams Tutoring session.
When your child works with our teachers, they’re learning from educators who have seen every type of learner, every type of struggle, and know exactly how to help.
Over 6,000 students taught across Ms. Kuang’s career in NYC classrooms and at Dreams Tutoring.
Licensed, career educators — not rotating part-timers
Confidence First, Scores Follow
We Don't Believe in Stressing Kids Out. We Believe in Building Them Up.
We’ve seen what happens when tutoring becomes another source of pressure. Kids shut down. They lose motivation. They start to believe they “just aren’t smart enough.”
At Dreams Tutoring, we take a different approach. Before we teach content, we build connection. Our teachers make it a priority to understand each child — their learning style, their confidence level, and what actually motivates them. When a student trusts their teacher, they try harder, ask more questions, and aren’t afraid to get things wrong.
This isn’t the “tiger mom” approach to education. It’s the kind of patient, encouraging, relationship-driven teaching that builds real confidence — and real results.
Emotional connection first; academic results follow naturally
What Students Develop
- Confidence to try — and try again
- Self-paced problem-solving habits
- Test-day composure and strategy
- A genuine love of learning
How Can We Help Your Child Succeed?
Whether your goal is mastering grade-level academics, preparing for a specialized school entrance exam, or hitting a target SAT score, Dreams Tutoring has a proven program designed for your child’s exact needs.
K–12 Academic Enrichment & Tutoring
Build the Foundation. Ace the Classroom.
From Grade 1 reading and writing to high school Algebra 2, our academic program gives students the subject mastery and study skills they need to thrive year-round. Small Saturday and Sunday group classes — never more than 10 students — are structured to move at each child’s pace, with bonus free homework help every Saturday from 12:00–1:00 PM.
One-on-one tutoring is also available for all grades and all subjects, including Chemistry and Physics.
Students in Grades 1–12 looking to strengthen core skills, catch up, or get ahead in ELA, Math, or high school sciences.
SHSAT & Mark Twain Exam Prep
Get Into the School of Your Dreams — With the Prep to Match.
New York City’s specialized school admissions process is competitive — and the stakes are high. Our SHSAT prep program (Grade 8) and Pre-SHSAT program (Grade 7) are built around structured small-group instruction, timed practice, and regular mock exams with detailed score reports sent directly to parents after every test.
For 5th graders targeting Mark Twain Junior High or District 21 placement, our dedicated Mark Twain exam prep covers Science, Math & Computer, and ELA Creative Writing — the exact subjects tested.
- Small group instruction (max 10 students)
- Multiple mock exams per term
- Score reports sent to parents after each mock exam
- One-on-one upgrade available for students who need extra focus
SAT Prep
Stop Guessing on the SAT. Start Scoring.
Our SAT prep program isn’t about drilling random practice problems — it’s about understanding exactly where your child is losing points and fixing it. Using a structured self-paced method with separate homework and classwork books, students move at their own speed through every tested concept, with the teacher checking each student’s work individually every session.
Mock exams are included every term, with score reports sent to parents so you always know where your child stands and how they’re improving.
Proven Results
Our students have made dramatic score improvements — including one student who went from a PSAT score in the 900s to an SAT score of 1330 after working with Dreams Tutoring.
Real Students. Real Results. Real Success Stories.
